Psalm 40:14-16

¹⁴ People are ·trying to kill me [^Lseeking my life].
    Shame them and disgrace them.
People want to hurt me.
    Let them ·run away [be turned back] in disgrace.
¹⁵ People are ·making fun of me [^Lsaying to me, “Aha! Aha!”].
    Let them be ·shamed into silence [^Ldevastated by their own shame].
¹⁶ But let those who ·follow [^Lseek] you
    be happy and glad.
They love you for ·saving [delivering] them.
    May they always say, “·Praise [Magnify; Great is] the Lord!”
